Picnic Permit Information

Picnic permits for 2009 will go on sale on Monday, January 4, 2010, beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until all permit seekers have been served. As of Tuesday, January 5, 2009, the normal hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., will resume. All permit types may be applied for in person.

The Forest Preserve District of County now offers permit discounts to not-for-profit organizations. For details, click here.

We recommend that you print and fill out the application and bring it with you to the permit locations (see address below), along with your permit application fees, in order to expedite your application process.

Picnic permits are accepted by our Permits and Recreation Department ONLY! The department is located at:
