Environmental Education is an important part of the FPDCC. Learn more about our natural environment by visiting a Nature Center or participating in one of our many programs. There are educational activities for everyone from individuals to classrooms or groups. Discover nature!

Picture a child holding a salamander for the first time, being tickled by a cardinal feather, smelling the flowers of spring... Children need nature around them. The FPDCC Nature Centers offer a wide range of children’s programs to “open their eyes” to natural wonders of the outdoors.

Nature programs designed specifically for adult and senior learners may include naturalist led bird walks, hikes, canoe trips and more. Volunteer opportunities abound for different interests like gardening, information desk help, festival participation, and much more.
